Terms of Service
Last updated: July 26, 2026
Introduction
Welcome to DryHarvest (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website at evapod.com and all associated calculators, guides, and services (collectively, the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of them, please do not use the Service.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using DryHarvest, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
We may update these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
General Guidance — Not a Food-Safety Certification
DryHarvest’s calculators provide general guidance for home food drying and preservation. They apply standard ratios and commonly cited reference values to the inputs you enter and round results for readability, so a result depends entirely on your input and the assumptions of a simplified model. Nothing on the Service is medical, regulatory, or professional food-safety certification. Before you rely on a result for anything beyond home, short-term use — including any food you plan to sell, gift widely, or store long-term — confirm it against your equipment’s manual and a current, reputable food-safety source.
Description of Service
DryHarvest provides free, browser-based calculators and educational resources, including:
- A drying-time estimator scaled by food type, thickness, and temperature
- A dehydrator temperature guide by food category, in °F and °C
- A jerky cure & salt ratio calculator for dry-curing meat
- A water-activity estimator for salt/sugar brines and marinades
- A rehydration ratio calculator and a batch-yield estimator
- Guides, explainers, and reference content on food drying and preservation
All tools are provided free of charge. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
Your Responsibilities
When using the Service, you agree to:
- Use the tools in good faith for home food preservation and learning
- Enter values in the correct units and check that your inputs describe your actual ingredients and equipment
- Not disrupt, overload, or attempt to compromise the website
- Respect intellectual property rights
You are responsible for exercising your own judgment about food safety and for confirming important results before relying on them, including verifying safe handling, temperatures, and storage for meat and fish.
Accuracy and Disclaimers
While we aim for sound, commonly cited ratios and formulas, we cannot guarantee that every calculation is error-free or suited to your specific ingredients, equipment, or environment. Results are estimates based on standard methods and the figures you provide, and are rounded for display.
